Some
charities in Borneo may offer some volunteering
opportunities.
However it may be questionable, if Borneo and in particular
Kalimantan's development may benefit very much from Westerners
offering their services for free for supportive or manual duties,
which can easily be fulfilled by a local person, who may be able
to support his/her family by being paid a small salary.
There are other and more productive ways for people who wish to
help.
