Mount Kinabalu is located in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo and has the status of a world heritage site. It is the highest mountain in Sabah with 4,095 m (or 3,435 ft). It is particularly famous for its more than 4000 species of plants, including the rafflesia, the Paphiopedilum slipper orchid, over 300 species of birds, and over 100 mammals. Many plants found in the park have medical properties and research is ongoing. Nearby Mount Kinabalu other attractions such as Poring Hot Spring (PHS) and the Sabah Tea Garden can be visited.
