Orangutans have been tested for Covid-19

Several orangutans were tested for Covid-19 in Sabah. Certain viruses can jump from humans to animals. As a precaution, orangutans at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre had to undergo a swab test for the virus by a team of vets and support personnel.

Fortunately all the orangutans tested negative for Covid-19.
